Channel To Channel… 2012!

It’s back – and bigger and better than in 2011!

On Sunday 12 August 2012, the very last day of the 2012 Olympics,  a rag-tag mob of mobsters will set off from the salty water of Bristol docks and head towards the rising sun – or London – whichever comes first.

This year Justin is being joined in the water by Becky Burridge, Mark Wilson and Steve ‘The Mad Medic’ Blethyn who is going to walk the entire route next to them.

The water crew, and Steve, will be supported by the ‘Shanks Mob’ who will be there every step of the way to make sure that the team are fed, watered  and plastered when necessary (Band-Aids, not alcohol) and to make as much noise as possible for the Children’s Trust.

When the team get to Teddington for the start of the last leg down in to London they will be joined by Paul Hyman and the Active 360 crew on paddleboards for the last part of the journey – and then there’ll be a BIG party in London at the finishing line.

The ‘Channel to Channel’ project is all about getting people involved and raising awareness of the fantastic work that the Children’s Trust do with children who have acquired brain injuries.

You can find out why Justin supports the Children’s Trust here in a short piece that he wrote just before the 2011 ‘Channel to Channel’ started.

The route will pass through or near to: Bristol, Bath, Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge, Devizes, Hungerford, Newbury, Reading, Maidenhead, Slough, Staines, Windsor, Henley, Kingston-upon-Thames, Teddinton and down in to London.
