Education

One of Justin’s key motivators for tackling his adventures, challenges and expeditions has always been to use his experiences to inspire and educate.

Primary Education.

Working in conjunction with education leaders TT Education, all of Justins experiences are used to create inspiring, fun, interactive and engaging lesson plans and activities for the Schools Explorer initiative. All of the information that Justin gathers during his exploits is used by the professionals at TT Education to create material which is linked directly with the curriculum. Subjects covered through the modules include literacy, numeracy, geography, history, science and PE.

As the ‘Schools Explorer’ Justin heads off all over the globe and by signing your school up you will have access to a special blog, podcasts, videos, photographs, expedition diaries, competitions, live Skype interviews, ‘expedition live’ updates and half-termly resource drops of brilliant activities, games, PE activities and lesson ideas.

Justin and the team also offer workshops for primary schools. You can read more here.

Secondary Education.

The ‘Schools Explorer’ material is currently only available for primary aged children, but Justin provides a range of resources, workshops and talks for secondary schools.

Further and Higher Education.

For some years Justin has been a ‘guest lecturer’ and ‘inspirational speaker’ at colleges and universities.

As a guest lecturer, Justins talks centre around physical activity, training for expeditions and combating hypo-kinetic disease. With an interesting and dynamic presentation style, Justin poses questions and leads his audience to discover the answers in a number of subjects.

As an inspiration speaker, Justins work often brings him to face students as they either embark on the very beginning of their educational career or as they come towards the end of their education and face making decisions which will effect the rest of their lives encouraging the audience to “find a way and make it happen”
